Puncture repair on the go - Slime Tyre Sealant
Brought to you by the pioneers in tyre care and repair technology is Slime Tire Sealant. Instantly and repeatedly repairing tread-area punctures up to 6mm in size using innovative Fibro-Seal technology means you can keep driving, cycling, riding and bush bashing even after serious punctures. Slime's tyre seal is safe to use as a repair measure in all vehicles with tubeless tyres, however it shouldn't be seen as a permanent fix. Use it to get yourself out of a sticky situation or to avoid the labour associated with fitting your spare on the side of the road or 4x4 trail, especially when it’s a heavy 35-inch mud tyre all the way up on the roof of your lifted Landcruiser. We recommend taking your car to a tyre shop for a proper repair once you're out of trouble, or alternatively use one of the Slime Tyre Tackle kits and repair it at home like the pros. For a quick how-to on using Slime Tire Sealant, see this guide below:- Position the wheel so the valve core is in the upper half of the wheel
- Remove the valve core with the tool found on the bottle cap
- Once the tyre has fully deflated, try to remove the cause of the puncture
- Attach the hose and install the sealant into the tyre
- Replace valve core
- Inflate the tyre using an air compressor
- Drive immediately to spread the sealant, then stop to verify the seal and check the air pressure
