When applying JB-Weld to metal, plastic or other hard, non-porous surfaces, there are a few things to remember. First make sure the surface is clean and free of any contaminants including oil, fuel, grease, dirt or other loose particles. In some instances, it may also be useful to rough up the area with sandpaper to promote a strong bond. Where necessary with two-part JB-Weld formulations, mix the two parts in the ratio indicated on the packaging on a disposable surface and mix thoroughly until a uniform colour is achieved. Next apply the JB-Weld with the appropriate tool in an even coat, covering the problem area avoiding contact with skin. Once the JB-Weld has been applied, it must be left to dry in the time depicted on the packaging. Once the JB-Weld is dry it can then be handled, however it should not be used until it has reached the full cure phase.
