Parkmate Reverse Camera's - keeping an eye on what is behind you
A Parkmate reverse camera solution helps you see what is behind you if your vehicle is older and not fitted with a reverse camera. The reverse systems is a 2 piece solution. There is the rear mounted camera or the 'eye' on the back of your vehicle. Then there needs to be a monitor in the cabin so you can see what the camera is picking up. This can be a stand alone monitor or a monitor that is built into the rearview mirror for those vehicles with limited dashboard space to mount the stand alone unit.

Reverse Camera Installation
There are a number of options with Parkmate. No system is completely wireless. At a minimum you still need to provide power to the camera and the monitor. You can get a wireless reverse camera which means not having to run a video cable from the monitor all the way to the reverse camera. (dashboard to the back of the vehicle) You also want to find out how the reverse camera is triggered. Is it done automatically when you reverse or is it manually triggered? All important things to find out prior to purchasing.
