Car Steering & Suspension from Rare Spares

Can I get a kit to recondition my front end?
Rare Spares make kits that contain all the components you need to fully rebuild the front end of your classic Holden or Ford. It covers suspension and steering. you get bushes, ball joints, tie rod ends, bearings, washer and fasteners. All the pieces unique to your vehicle. They also do complete rear kits as well. Give your classic the makeover it deserves.
Cracked or damaged sway bar bushes?
Sway bar bushes and links regularly cop a work out when cornering. They are designed to twist so they are very hard on the rubber bushes and stress the links. This causes them to get chewed out quicker than a lot of the other components as the bar twists and compresses on the bushing and links can break or bend. Rare spares cover a range of these bushings and links.
Is the steering vague when driving straight?
A lot of people put wider wheels on their old classic. While this looks good and you get better grip and traction it does introduce greater loads on your steering components. If your steering is getting vague when driving in a straight line and you are having to correct it, checking your steering components like tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm is a good first step. Make sure they are in good condition and there is no play or movement in the joints that should not be there.
If you find a problem, replace the part with a Rare Spares quality piece. If it is a tie rod, getting a wheel alignment after replacement is good insurance to make sure all your caster, camber toe in and out settings are correct. If you do not find a problem, getting a wheel alignment may fix the issue or pick up a faulty ball joint or other suspension component.
