Fasteners- keeping things together

Shop Fasteners

In Australia we deal with harsh, hard climates so you need a quality fastening to stand up to the elements. The Australian owned Champion Parts business (Australia's biggest range for DIY) creates industrial supplies for many industries including construction, manufacturing and the automotive industry. At Repco we stock a huge range of Champion and GJ Works fasteners and fixings.

What does a fastener do?

A fasteners main role is to hold things together so they don't come apart. Most fasteners are designed so you can undo them if required for access, maintenance or replacement of the items being held together. Screws, washers, bolts and nuts are all designed to be reused. Others like a nails, pop rivets or split pins are not, and are discarded once removed.

Why do I need a fastener?

When replacing missing or old worn out fasteners in your vehicle, selecting and fitting the correct size and grade is important as it stops premature wear or even failure. A lot of vehicle components require a nut or bolt to be tightened to a nominated torque setting for optimal strength. It is good practice to use safety gear like gloves and the right tools, such as correct fitting sockets or spanners when working with fasteners.

Stainless Steel Fasteners

Fasteners in stainless steel offer many benefits over there steel counterparts. Less prone to rust and corrosion they are longer lasting and tougher and work well in outdoor environments, especially near water. So whether you need decking screws, adding lights to your boat trailer or bolting up a trailer plug and you want it to last, think stainless steel.
