Aerpro Plug and Play Wiring Harnesses Explained

When installing your next car stereo make sure you take the time to check there is an Aerpro Wiring Harness available for your make and model. The Aerpro wiring harnesses make installing a new stereo easy by using a 2 Step wiring harness that allows you to plug the primary harness into your vehicle (Step 1) and the secondary harness (Step 2) into your head unit and remove the need to hard wire any connections. The primary harness (Step 1) will be specific to your vehicle and uses the part numbers starting with APP and will be made to plug directly into to your vehicles existing wiring loom. This plug standardises the harness to an ISO connector that is then used to plug in the secondary harness (Step 2) which is specific to your head unit and will use part numbers beginning with APP8. With both harnesses you will generally not need to complete any further wiring (some wiring may be required in some instances) and will make installation quick and tidy.

If your vehicle does have steering wheel controls or a CAN BUS system you will need to use the part numbers starting with CH for the primary harness and the appropriate patch lead if it is not included in your kit. The same secondary harness parts numbers can be used for your head unit (part numbers starting with APP8) in conjunction with the patch lead to ensure all of your steering wheel controls remain functional as they were before. If you are fitting your head unit you can also check out the range of Facia Kits and Facias that can be vehicle specific to make sure you finish off the job with that factory look.
