Champion Fasteners Imperial Internal and External Circlip Assortment Kit
Circlips are a metal clip made of spring steel that stop components or shafts from coming apart. They normally sit in a machined groove made for them and need special pliers to install or remove them. There are 2 types:
Internal Circlips - Sit inside a round hole and stop a shaft or bearing from falling out. These need their ends pulled together to remove/install them
External Circlips - Sit in a groove on a metal shaft or rod and stop it from moving or components from coming off it. These need their ends spread apart to remove/install them
Because of the action required to install or remove them you need 2 different sets of pliers, one for each circlip type.
This kit is designed to give you a range of replacement Circlips of varying imperial sizes, both internal and external. There are Replacement packs available:
- Part No C155-1 - 20 external circlips, 1/4inch (STW6)
- Part No C155-2 - 20 external circlips, 5/16inch (STW8)
- Part No C155-3 - 20 external circlips, 3/8inch (STW10)
